Hi everyone,
I thought I would share our most recent art project - a directed drawing collage! We used Sharpie on cardstock to follow step-by-step instructions on how to draw a polar bear, and then we cut them out (with some help!) and glued them onto black construction paper. With a very special gold marker, we added some snowflakes and wrote our names. I then laminated these to add to the bulletin board outside our classroom! I think they turned out great! Ask your child to point out theirs! Today we did a scavenger hunt activity where we searched for winter pictures and words that had been hidden around our classroom. We looked high and low to find the pictures that corresponded with the ones on our clipboards, and once we found them, we copied the words onto our worksheet. This activity helped us to learn new winter vocabulary in French, practice our fine motor skills, and work together with our friends. Our goal was to find and write 5 new words today. We will continue with this activity for the remainder of the week until we have found them all! I am so proud of how hard all of my little friends worked today and am so impressed with their enthusiasm and interest in learning new French words!! Hi everyone, Happy New Year! It's great to be back to school and into a routine. Today was the first day we've had snow on the ground for outdoor play - and what a great time we all had! Check out some photos below: |
