Hello Everyone!
Just a few notes about this week:
Because the long-term forecast does not call for much snow, our Winter Carnival will be indefinitely postponed until further notice.
We will be having our Pancake Breakfast at recess on Wednesday as part of "It's Cool To Be Kind" day. AM Kindergartens will take part in this activity. The PM group will also get pancakes! If you wish to volunteer to help with this activity, please send me an e-mail. The PM Kindergarten students will also take part in the Kindness Assembly. Pink shirts will be distributed on Wednesday!
The Kindergartens have their first skating session on Friday morning. I sent a note home last week with some reminders about that. If your child is in need of skates or a helmet, please let me know ASAP so we can try to find one that is an appropriate fit! I am very excited! Feel free to come join us at the arena!

Re:         Winter Fun Day/Winter Carnival
 
Topsail’s Winter Fun Day/Winter Carnival is scheduled for Monday, February 15th.  If the weather conditions change over the weekend, we will send a Synervoice mesage out on Sunday night to inform you of the change. Thus, assume that the Winter Fun Day is going ahead on Monday morning unless you hear otherwise. 
 A couple of reminders about Monday’s Winter Fun Day:

• Please have your child wear snow pants, mitts, hat and winter boots.
• We will be serving hot chocolate and pancakes for a snack throughout the morning. This will not replace their lunch, as it will only be one and will be throughout the morning

Good morning! I hope everybody enjoyed yesterday's snow day - I know I did!
I am sending a note home today re: tomorrow's Valentine Celebration in class. We will be exchanging Valentines in class (both AM and PM groups).
The Red Group will have their Valentine Celebration after recess at 10:45-11:30.
The Green Group will have their Valentine Celebration from 2:00-2:45.
Feel free to send a special treat for your child. Please no food items to share!
As always, do not send in anything with nuts or fish.
I apologize for the short notice, but because of Kinderstart on Friday, we will be having our Valentine exchange on Thursday (tomorrow).
I have sent an updated class list home in message baggies today!

PS. I am happy to announce that we are officially back in our old (new!) classroom. All renovations have been completed, and aside from a few finishing touches -- it's looking amazing! I will post some pictures ASAP!

Happy Monday Everyone!

We survived January! I just wanted to let everyone know that I will be sending home a paper copy in message baggies today. It is also available under the Calendar section of my website.  I noticed that there are a few Red Group baggies that have frayed, so I am hoping to acquire a few new ones this week to replace them!

We are all settled into our temporary classroom in the Computer Lab. I cannot wait for the renovations to be complete and move back to our brand new class!
