As a special end-of-the-year treat, the Grade 2s let us borrow their giant inflatable unicorn sprinkler to enjoy during our outdoor play this morning. Our class and Madame Organ's friends had so much fun running through the sprinkler and then setting up our towels like we were at the beach! At first, it was a little bit chilly as we were at the front of the school in the shade. Then, Mr. Griffiths helped us move the giant unicorn and hook it up in the backyard which was much warmer and sunnier. Not the first time Mr. Griffiths has come to the rescue here at HTE!

It's hard to believe we're winding down another year of school - and a very strange one at that! We've definitely made the most of the situation and I truly feel that all of my little friends have had a fun and exciting first year of school. 

With only 2 weeks left before summer break, I just wanted to say an enormous thank you for all of your continued support this year. It's certainly been challenging at times, trying to adapt to new and changing circumstances - but together, we made it work!

Here are some things to keep in mind as we get ready for the summer:

• All library books should now be returned to school so Ms. Borden can spend these next couple of weeks getting everything organized for September
• Information on busing for next year is being sent home today in students' backpacks
• I will be sending home all extra materials and personal belongings over the next week to avoid the children being overloaded with stuff on the last day.
• Kindergarten sweatshirts will be distributed to children who placed an order as soon as they arrive - I'm anticipating next week sometime
• Term 3 Report Cards will be sent home with students on the last day of school (June 24th)
